Goal: Kiwanis will not spend more each year than the amount raised that year through fundraising efforts. Every effort will be made to stay within our annual budget, and if funding remains at the end of the year, this will be reinvested into Kiwanis’s account.
Goal: Priority funding will go to Kiwanis projects – attendance at conventions, events like the giving tree, Words for Thirds, Kindness Essay, yard clean ups and community service projects that Kiwanis is involved with.
Goal: Community service projects will be funded based on Kiwanis’ success at raising “new” money – money not from the sale of fireworks. Projects selected for funding will be those that meet the Kiwanis funding criteria and those organizations that provide a completed funding application.

Board determines if funds are available for the year. If funds available the board will notify the membership of the amount available.
Those organizations interested in seeking funding from Kiwanis will need to complete a Kiwanis application form and identify which of the Kiwanis selection criteria they meet.
Funding applications will be reviewed quarterly at the Kiwanis board meeting- Dec, March, June and September. The Board will review the applications using Kiwanis criteria and make a decision based on the applicant’s application and notify the Kiwanis advocate.
Requesters will be notified by their Kiwanis advocate if funding is awarded.
